What are Scenes?

Scenes are a sequence of personalized actions and rules that your Smartee execute automatically in a given period (as long as you desire).

They are very useful to automate your home with different devices and functions to trigger automatically. You can program scenes that will turn your lights on/off at certain time and play a particular song at the same time. You can schedule a scene to execute every night at the time you arrive home, setting your thermostat at a certain temperature and the right lamps to welcome you home.

If you leave to work every day at 8 am you can program a scene that will do the following actions, all at once:

  • Lock your door
  • Check that your windows are closed
  • Adjust your thermostat
  • Make sure all lights are off

How you do this? Very easy, just follow these simple steps:

Select “scenes” on the main menu

Tap to create a Scene. Name it and select an icon to easily identify it. Select date and time for your Scene to execute automatically. This step is optional as you can execute your Scene manually at any time. Select the devices that you want to control with that scene.

Choose how you want to create your scene, if using the devices' status as they are right now or if setting the action for each of the selected devices. For example, if you want your lights to turn off when running your Away scene, and all your lights are already off at the moment of the set up, then you will select the first option to capture the current status to create the scene.

If you select the option to set your devices actions individually,  navigate through the selected devices to select which action should each of them perform when executing the scenes. For example, select OFF for all your lights when running the Away scene.

Once you finish setting up the actions for your devices, your scene will be ready. Have fun creating as many Scenes as you like! For example, "Movie Time" or "Balcony Dinner" be creative!
And don't worry about changing your schedule, as you can go back and edit at any time.
